Non-Profit Partners - She.Is.Beautiful & Heart Ping Life

She.is.beautiful 5k & 10k is a women-owned business. We are proud of the courage we have taken to do what we love in our community and create an experience to get people moving all year long. It is our goal to overdeliver your race experience that fires you up in months leading up to the start line and makes you smile months after the finish line.

With our community, we have raised over $350,000 for our local nonprofit partners over the last 15 years.

Since year one, we have partnered with Walnut Avenue Women and Family Center in Santa Cruz and Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara. Our race offers participants opportunities to learn about and fundraise for these incredible non-profits.

Walnut Avenue Women & Family Center, Santa Cruz, California

The mission of Walnut Avenue Family & Women’s Center is to end cycles of trauma, support lifelong learning, and promote healthy relationships with oneself and others.

What they do:

Walnut Avenue Family & Women’s Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, public benefit organization and family center dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals, children, and families in Santa Cruz County since 1933. We believe healthy relationships and high-quality care in the first 5 years are essential ingredients for optimal child development. We also believe that “Peace begins at Home” because the care and nurture we experience in our homes often sets the standard for how we treat others and ourselves throughout life. Walnut Avenue programs for Early Education, Youth Empowerment, and Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence aim to prevent and/or end violence within intimate relationships, nourish healthy relationships, and promote education and safety for all.

If every participant donated $20 to Walnut Avenue Women and Family Center we could donate over $120,000 to this incredible organization!

Girls Inc.of Greater Santa Barbara

What they do:

Girls Inc. empowers girls to be strong, smart, and bold through pro-girl programming that builds confidence and equips girls with the skills they need to thrive. Each year, we serve over 1,000 youth ages 4–18 through elementary, teen, and gymnastics programs offered at our center, and in local schools across the County. With over 67 years of impact in Santa Barbara, our vision is a future shaped by powerful girls.

If every runner donates just $20 on top of their registration costs, we can raise $50,000 for girls in Santa Barbara County—enough to fund after-school programming for an entire class this year!

Join our Girls Inc. fundraising team and run with purpose.

If you’re running She.Is.Beautiful, here are three easy ways you can uplift girls:

  1. Make a meaningful impact by choosing to donate when you register – 100% of all donations directly support free and highly subsidized pro-girl programs in Santa Barbara County.
  1. Share your unique Race Roster fundraising link with friends and family and encourage them to give in your honor – runners who raise over $250 receive a special Girls Inc. thank-you prize!
  1. Create a fun, high-energy team bonding experience by starting a corporate team! Reach out to Megan Turley at mturley@girlsincsb.org to learn more.

However you choose to support Girls Inc., thank you! Every dollar raised helps to instill confidence, build leadership skills, and provide a safe place for girls in our community who need it most.
