Friday Gratitude Practice – She.Is.Beautiful & Heart Ping Life

There is a good reason Gratitude has been mentioned everywhere as a key to success.  From writing down 3 things you are grateful for everyday, to mentally going through that list as a way to combat stress to asking your family to discuss the best moments of their day, we know it leads to happier, healthier lives.  We also know how good it feels to uplift others, like the rush you get from buying a stranger a cup of coffee or giving a friend a gift you know they will LOVE. So what could be better than combining GRATITUDE with GIVING? Not much really!  That’s why we have developed a practice of “Friday Appreciations”.

Here’s how:

  1.  Think of a person who has impacted your life…bonus points if it is someone you haven’t talked to in a while!
  2. Send a quick text or email to that person telling them you were thinking about them

That’s it!  You can easily do this in other forms, like email, written notes or phone calls.  The key for us is to do something so simple that you can be consistent. Try it for a few weeks to see how brings joy to deserving people in your life AND it lights you up!
